Lexington, KY 40503 859-245-1789	At Bella Notte, we have adopted the philosophy to utilize locally grown vegetables, mushrooms, herbs, fruits, lamb, and rabbit whenever possible. We are always looking to support the community by supporting any local products we can get our hands on thru programs such as Kentucky Proud, a farmers community that specialize in mostly organically grown and certified produce, fruits, meats and game, as well as any word of mouth. We love when farmers show up at the door with a box of ripe, sun-warm tomatoes or fresh produced goat’s milk cheese.

Slow cooking imparts a mellow flavor to the meat, which is given a perky accent with Corky's signature sauce and dry rubs. A casual ambience sets the pace, and music is a throwback to simpler days. Giuseppe's was awarded "Best Dessert in the Bluegrass" for it's version of the Italian classic Tira Misu, and chosen "Best Italian in Lexington" by the Lexington Herald-Leader reader's poll. Giuseppe's also offers homemade desserts and live jazz in the bar Wednesday through Saturday evenings. "I think it's better than sangria." And in the kitchen? "Once I understood how a really fine Woodford Reserve bourbon could go with anything-even a great piece of cheese-there was no end to it," he notes. "Here in Kentucky, you know you can put bourbon on anything."

These days, with polished granite floors and gleaming wood trim, it's a bit more upscale but no less impressive. Named for a Swiss hotel chain, the restaurant boasts a personable staff and a menu that tiptoes between American and Italian dishes. Representative fare includes lobster ravioli, Maryland crab cakes, roasted duck, prosciutto truffle pasta, sauteed Gulf shrimp, and baby rack of lamb.
Anna Belle's Bistro 127 N Limestone Lexington, KY 40507 859-381-0900	A little funky, sporting a bit of an edge, Anna Belle's gives tradition a kick in the pants at this creative restaurant, located just across from the new courthouse. While you'll recognize many of the components of the menu, they've been reconfigured into something more intriguing. Kentucky egg rolls, for instance, update an Asian standard with barbecue and cole slaw, and the house meat loaf goes uptown with a dash of truffle oil. You can also find strong basics like steak and fruit-dressed pound cake.
Pazzo's Pizza Pub 385 S Limestone Lexington, KY 40508 859-255-5125	We take no short cuts at Pazzo's! Our signature marinara sauce and dough are made fresh daily. Highest quality meats, fresh cut vegetables daily. Wisconsin made 100% whole milk mozzarella, parmesan, and romano cheeses. To prepare and bake our pizzas takes a little longer, but the extra few minutes is well worth the wait. It is with pride that Pazzo's serves you! Enjoy!
